Great atmosphere: the hostel had a cozy country house feel, which gave it a unique and welcoming atmosphere. the wooden floors, carpets, and sitting areas created a warm and inviting environment.
Limited lockers: Unfortunately, there were only a few lockers available and some of them were not working. It would have been more convenient to have more lockers to securely store their belongings.

The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with daily replacements of hand towels in the bathrooms. we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hostel to others.

Stayed here over Christmas and had a great time! The location is perfect, right next to the Smithwicks brewery and walking distance to all the sites and pubs. The staff were really friendly and helpful, suggesting great places to eat and drink. The private room in the 4-person dorm was a good value and the beds were comfortable enough. The common room with the cozy couch and fireplace was a nice place to hang out.
The showers were a bit hit or miss with the heated water machine, and the wifi was weak in the rooms. , the windows were nailed shut, making the room stuffy at times.

Great location in the heart of town, close to restaurants, pubs, shopping, and public transportation. Polite and helpful staff. - Reasonable prices for accommodation.
Unhygienic shared towels in public bathrooms. Untidy and thrown-together appearance of the hostel.

I traveled to Kilkenny for a budget-friendly option outside of Dublin. My stay at Kilkenny Hostel was amazing! The hostel had a great vibe and offered spacious common areas, including a sizeable kitchen, dining room, and living room. Free coffee was a nice touch. The location was perfect, just a short walk from major attractions and cozy pubs. The staff was friendly and approachable. Although the bed was a bit creaky, it added to the rustic charm of the entire hostel. I would definitely stay here again!

the beds and bathrooms were clean, and the staff was nice and helpful. the location was central, with free parking available on Dean Street after 7pm-8am. the hostel had a spacious eating area and a comfortable lounge area. I particularly liked that the bottom bunks were designed in a way that you could sit straight without hitting your head on the top bunk. the shower was also sizable with plenty of space to hang your belongings. Cons: It was all superb. 👍.
